An antibiotic supplement, recommended for the selective isolation of Clostridium perfringens.
Per vial sufficient for 500 ml medium
Ingredients:
- D-Cycloserine (Concentration: 200mg)
Directions:
Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial aseptically with 2 ml sterile distilled water. Mix well and aseptically add to 475 ml of sterile, molten, cooled (45-50ºC) Perfringens Agar Base (T.S.C./S.F.P.)M837/Perfringens HiVeg™ Agar Base (T.S.C. / S.F.P.) MV837/Perfringens Agar Base, Granulated (Tryptose Sulphite Cycloserine Agar Base, Granulated) (T.S.C./S.F.P. Agar Base, Granulated) GM837/Perfringens HiCynth™ Agar Base (T.S.C/S.F.P HiCynth™ Agar Base) MCD837 along with 25 ml of Egg Yolk Emulsion FD045 or 500 ml of sterile, molten, cooled (45-50ºC) Perfringens Agar Base M837I or Tryptose Cycloserine Dextrose Agar Base M1233 /Tryptose Cycloserine Dextrose HiVeg™ Agar Base MV1233 or Tryptose Cycloserine Azide Agar Base M1279 or Tryptone Yeast Sodium sulphite Agar Base M2046I or S.F.P. Agar Base M1005F. Mix well and pour into sterile petri plates.
